Faces of Wyatt

As you can see in the one I took below him with the sky in above... he still sucks his lower lip! LOL
The one with him in the grass and something is by his mouth, that's a big rock he's trying to eat/taste/bite/etc.

Crawling everywhere...
And sweet smiles with that cute little chin of his :) lol

Digging and climbing on everything in his path... he just loves crawling over my legs when I'm on the floor.
Poor little ducky! hehe

And guess who he's trying to get to in these two photos? Yep, yours truly. I was sitting on the sofa.
And that's also a picture of something he just loves to do with his newly-discovered tongue :)

Bright Eyes

Here's the best pic I took of him today :D

Its getting really hard to take pictures of him now that he's so mobile! LOL I sit him somewhere but he immediately starts crawling off to something that grabs his attention :D

And here he is, intrigued by his dad's car :) Yes, he's all boy :D Loves cars, tools, banging on things... hehehe
And isn't that such a cute shirt??? I love that shirt!

Backpacking Wyatt

See how much he just LOVES the backpack carrier?

I really need a new one... this one hurts my shoulders (the straps hurt).

Anyways, he falls asleep in it all the time!

The Shape of a Mother TM

The Shape of a Mother TM

Real pictures of real moms and their bodies... no, I haven't sent in a picture of my own... LOL I'm not 'there' yet... LOL Of course, if I were to, it would be with a missing head, so that no one would recognize me :D

Wyatt's 8 Months Old

This is a picture taken today while at his Aunt Tasha's house since that's where we were today when he turned 8 mths :) This pic makes me laugh because he looks all hunched over in it :D Of course, the drool on his shirt & chin is noticeable.

Stats:
Sill nursing (of course)
He has 6 teeth out altogether (2 bottom center, and 4 top front - but the two on the side of the front are just now working their way up to visibility)
He's 19 lbs
He's crawling everywhere and over things
He's pulling up on everything & everyone
When he's standing, he lets go and tries to stand by himself
While on all fours, he straightens up his legs
He sits on his knees
He loves hair: grabs it, pulls it, tries to eat it
He's super clingy right now
Stops crying immediately after I pick him up
He hugs me a whole lot (puts his head down on my chest, leg, wherever and just stays for a few seconds)
Gives me open mouth kisses
Chews on my hands, knees (OUCH! those teeth are sharp!)
Will stop crying (most of the time) if I tickle him
He's super ticklish and has the best laugh :)
Loves the backpack carrier
Loves bathtime
Loves splashing
Loves being outside
Has discovered his tongue this weekend!
Sticks his tongue out and makes that 'ttthhhsss" sound (ykwim?)
Loves the vacuum cleaner
Knows when bedtime is and won't nurse (most of the time) unless we're in bed but will stay awake crying/complaining until I get him to bed.

Hmm.... that's about all I can think of right now... :D

Yay that I can post pictures once again!

My Laughing Boy

The video isn't as dark on my PC's folder as it is after I uploaded it to youtube.com; not sure why its like that. But, its cute :)
Wyatt now has 6 teeth out.
I'd post a picture, but for some reason, I can't. Its frickin' fustrating!
Here's some pics that I've uploaded to photobucket.com since I can't upload them here for some reason:
Wyatt taking a milk bath
Crawling Cowboy
Laughing Cowboy
I'm hoping I can upload pics by the 20th... since that'll be his 8th month birthday! If I can't, I'll just do it this way again... sux.

Wyatt and Our Parakeet

This is our bird's way of letting us know that he's hungry...
He comes down on the floor or swoops down at our heads.
Since we were in the living room, he landed amongst Wyatt's toys and intrigued our son :D
*If you noticed he's naked, its because I had just finished changing him when the bird decided to visit, so, that made Wyatt wanna get up*
Wyatt was after him... I had thought I had gotten video of Wyatt going after the bird, but I hadn't pressed the button on my camera all the way down so, no footage... it was cute too.
"Whatcha doin' on my toy, bird?"
And yes, I fed the bird after taking these pics :)

Teeth Update

Even though they aren't completely out, you can see his top teeth in that smiley picture of him! Isn't he so precious?

And if crawling isn't fast enough for him, he's pulling up on everyone and everything that he can. You can see that he much rather the outside of the walker than the inside of it... plus, as you can see in that pic with the walker, he put his feet on the side of it!

7 Months (and 5 days)

Okay, as he's sleeping on my back (in my backpack carrier) right now, I'll update his blog with new pics and info :D

Here he is showing off his new teeth! In order to get a picture of them, I had to lay him on the floor and tickle him :D

I can't wait for those teeth to come out all the way! They are making him so miserable! And if you look to the side of those 2 top ones, it looks like it won't be long before the next ones poke through the gum line! My poor baby! Thank goodness for Hyland's Teething Tablets! I've also been using Gentle Naturals' Earache Relief since the teething itself has him pulling his ears.

Its funny how much harder it is to get a picture of him now that he's crawling... I sit him down and he comes after me, reaching for the camera's strap that dangles teasingly in front of him... it took me a few attempts to get this cute picture of him to the left!

Not sure of his weight as we still don't have a scale (same reason I don't know how much weight I've loss since last month).

Oh, and at night, ever since he learned to crawl, he's is always trying to get comfortable... turning this way and that... most of the time, he settles down when he gets to his belly. Sometimes he tosses and turns so much, he wakes himself up too much, cries (because he doesn't want to be awake) and I have to 'rock' (just sitting up in bed and rocking back and forth) him back to sleep.

Crawling Footage

Its Official: He's Crawling!

Yep! As of last night, he did real crawling! For a book, of course! :)

I'll post video of it when I get one.

Also, yesterday, you could actually see his two top teeth right below the gumline! And by last night, you see the skin breaking open. I'm so excited for him... those teeth have made him a grumpy baby... not sooo bad... but, he's usually such a content and happy boy; I know those teeth were making him mad! Teething tablets do help though.

I Get Around

I don't know if this is called crawling or creeping or lunging or what... but, he's definitely getting around... esp. for paper! "WILL CRAWL FOR PAPER!" lol

29 Weeks Old

29 weeks... which means he's a little over a week away from being 7 mths old!

Yep, drool drop ever present on his mouth area...

How can you not fall totally in love with that smile/face???

Gosh, he's just so sweet and huggable!!!

Small Update

Just wanted to make sure I remembered to add a few things Wyatt's been doing.

He's been pulling up to his feet when next to anything that he can use to pull up on.

He's always pulling out that little shelf that my keyboard rests on.

He's been sitting up from a crawl/belly position since last weekend @ Jeremy's parents' house.

He definitely transfers objects from one hand to the other; not sure when he started that since I didn't think about looking at that until reading one of those baby update thingies I get from him weekly.

We bought one of those blow-up ring pools yesterday; I got in with the kids and Wyatt loved it! We bought him a little thingie to get into and he was just splashing away!

He likes his jumpy thingie that hangs from the ceiling. He doesn't care for the swing too much; I use it for just a few minutes at a time... when I need to get something out of the oven or something like that. He likes his walker ONLY if he's outside in it. He'll stay in the play yard thingie that I got from Angele since I have lots of toys in there for him for quite a while.

He isn't freaking out totally when a train passes anymore! woohoo! He does freak out about the lawnmower though. When he freaks out, its like he doesn't know what to do... he tries to get inside of me or something! lol I just try to show him what the noise is all about.

Bouncing Himself to Sleep

This was just too cute to watch. Only the second day the jumpy thing was up and he jumped himself to sleep! I knew he was sleepy because we had just taken a bath and he was fussy; I nursed him in the tub but then he couldn't get comfortable so, I put him down, finished bathing and we got out. He seemed to have a little burst of energy. But then, I guess the bouncing got him sleepy again.

And a still shot of him sleeping.

Wyatt's 6 Months

Stats:
He's 28" long
19 lbs

He's getting up on his knees and pulling up to his knees while holding onto things.

I almost got a picture of him pulling up to his feet but he fell over before my camera was ready! lol Yes, I caught him before he hit the floor :D

He still creeping around although he's incorporated rolling over into it :D He's always rolling over, esp. when he's about to do really well with crawling. And he's finally rolling both directions... okay, he did both directions a while back but didn't really continue rolling from his back to his tummy until today. There's been occassions where I've found him (like in bed) where it was obvious he must have rolled from his back to his belly but only seen him actually doing that like one time when he was like 2 mths old.

Its crazy because today, it seems like he's really, really, really putting in a huge effort to crawl! Its exciting!

He still seems to be teething... lots of drooling going on, chewing on my fingers and on his own, pulling on his ears.

He must have gone through a growth spurt because he's barely fitting any of his clothes! He's definitely out of the 3-6 mth outfits... he can kind of fit the 2-piece in those sizes... but, even those are snug. I can't imagine trying to put him in a cloth diaper and putting them on! Definitely wouldn't fit.

The onesies he has on in these pictures and video are size Large. Pretty much what fits him right now. He does have a few nice shirts and shorts that he can fit (sizes 6-9 or even 12 mths ones) but most of the rest of his clothes are for colder times... lots of pants and long-sleeved shirts; useless to us right now. So, the next times I go out to thrift stores, I'll have to keep my eyes open for clothes for him... I thought I wouldn't have to worry about clothes for him... but, I guess I was wrong.

Click here to see the video if the above isn't working.
The video is of him bouncing... its so cute (naturally! lol). His dad finally got it out of the attic (had since Calista was a baby) yesterday evening . He's really enjoying it; esp. when his sisters are close-by, making a mess :D This will help him build up those muscles so he can get around; he really can't wait to be able to crawl/walk... I can tell! He even tries to walk while in that bouncey thing.

Sizes

Pictures from last night's bath time :)
I showered while he just either sat or laid on the bottom of the tub.
He loved it, as you can see.
The only problem is by the time we're done, he's so ready to sleep that he'll start crying once we're out of the tub.

I forgot to mention that he's totally out of size 3-6 mth clothes. Even some 6-9 mth clothes are too small already! I can't snap them at the crotch. I've put him in 12 mth all-in-one's (that snap at bottom) and they fit just right... crazy... I guess he had a growth spurt.

He weighs around 18lbs. I'll measure his length when he wakes up from his nap and post it.

He loves putting his feet together like in this picture :D Its so cute :)

Wyatt's 5½ Mth Update

Wyatt's newest sounds (previously said, 'ga' and 'a-gah'):
cah
bah
da
mauh

(says the last 2 usually when he's upset)

And does this little spit thingie with his mouth... his lips are tight and he forces spit to spray out.

He's not exactly crawling, but he's moving a good bit... in circles and mostly rolls over to his back.

He puts his arms up to me so I would pick him up.

Gives kisses; open mouth of course. You can tell the difference between that and him wanting to gnaw on you... when he kisses your face, its for a short bit of time, no teeth... when he gnaws on your hand, he really chows down and you feel those little teeth that are out (the bottom center two).

Wakes up with a big smile and says 'a gah' most mornings. He also loves to spend a good amount of time stretching.

During the day, he nurses but will usually want to stop so that I can put him on my right shoulder with his head in my neck and rock him to sleep. Sometimes he sings himself to sleep. While nursing, he'll hold my finger or rub my shirt or arm or whatever is around him (with his eyes closed).

He usually smiles at whomever is smiling at him... something Ursula didn't do.

Here's video of him falling to sleep in my brother's kids' baby swing; or trying to anyways! He eventually does.

And here is a video I took today of Ursula singing to her... she's a mother hen, that's for sure. I'm not sure if she realizes that he's an actual baby and not one of her baby dolls... LOL

No More Toothless Grins

Took these today... trying to get good smiles that you can see his new teeth.
I think this is a good one to see both his teeth and his eyelashes :D
To really see the newest tooth, you might have to click on the individual pics and view the larger versions of these pics.
